So, i got my copy of Fallout : New Vegas a little while ago, i had been looking forward to this piece of candy since the moment my Fallout 3 adventures ended.
So, i get the copy, put it in my xbox 360, and WHOOSH, you gotta be kidding me? Did they put Fallout 3 in my New Vegas cover? oh. nope. It's New Vegas, tho theres almost nothing new about the graphics, gameplay or the game in full.
But that doesn't bother me too much, i enjoyed Fallout 3 to such a degree, that this could be an expansion for all i cared. At least for a while.
Like i mentioned earlier in this text, the graphics are just about the same, the people you interact with could be the elder siblings of anyone in Fallout 3, and they are all OD'ing on botox, because they can't seem to talk properly.
On the contrary, the enviroments are quite nice, it's still post-apocalyptic allright, but you can clearly see that the world is starting to rebuild itself, some plants and vegetations are sprouting, and humanity may yet see the break of dawn.
Faction reputation system is quite ridicilous. You can slaughter a bunch of NCR, do a few small quests and then your best buddies yet again, im not completely sure, but i think this is the case for most factions you can do quests and missions for. Correct me if im wrong.
As for the main plot, it was ok, no revolution, but it's not a bad plot, allthough i found myself much more enticed by side quests, and some of them are really really good. No doubt about it.
Guns? Close combat? It's something in the right direction atleast, still felt like the close combat is a bit awkward and lame, but the weapons at your disposal are more fun.
The gun arsenal has improved aswell, but i felt kind of stuck in some old cowboy movie most of the time with my old repeater or whatever its name was.
Dialogue felt like a step backwards, this may have something to do with the lame facial expressions of the npc's, but it still doesn't work for me.
As for the game in whole, its a good game, but not top notch in my opinion.
Rating : 7/10
